James Dashner

James Dashner (born 1972) is an American author best known for his young adult science fiction and dystopian novels. Born in Austell, Georgia, and raised in Duluth, he developed an early interest in storytelling and writing. He graduated from Brigham Young University, where he studied accounting, before pursuing a career as a full-time writer.

Dashner rose to international fame with The Maze Runner series, which became a global bestseller and was later adapted into a successful film franchise. In addition to this series, he has written several other novels, including The 13th Reality series and The Mortality Doctrine trilogy. He currently resides in the United States with his family and continues to write for young adult audiences
